How to Make Homemade Croutons

Croutons are easy, customizable, and you’ll never go back to store-bought kinds again!

Ingredients

  • ½ loaf of bread
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of basil
  • 1 tablespoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, olive oil, and the rest of the seasonings.  Toss gently until well-incorporated.
  • Spread the bread out on two baking sheets.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown. The thicker your cubes are the longer the cooking time might be. Just watch them to make sure they don’t burn.
  • Let the croutons cool and put them in a ziploc or tupperware for later use.
